Anna Saylor, D.C.

I grew up in Eastpointe, MI, where I attended East Detroit High School. After high school I headed to East Lansing where I attended Michigan State University. I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, with a minor in Animal Behavior. Although I love animals, I decided to pursue a career that would allow me to help people. I enrolled in Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas, and headed south. I graduated from Parker in 1997. I’m married to a long time Royal Oak resident, Brent Wither and had my first child, Bric Ashley in April 2007. Keep your eye out for the monthly E-newsletter for updated pictures of Bric!
Upon my return to Michigan, I bought a building in Royal Oak. After a year of renovation, the building was ready, and I started my own Chiropractic practice. The practice is named “The Van Every Family Chiropractic Center”, after my grandmother’s maiden name.

I then spent an additional 3 years furthering my education in Chiropractic Pediatrics through Palmer Chiropractic College. I graduated with my Diplomate in Pediatrics in 2000.

“There are currently only 250 chiropractors in the world with this advanced degree.”

When I say that I “specialize in children”, you can be assured that I have the ability to help your children get better quicker. When you visit the Jungle room at our office, you will see that we take care of a lot of children in a fun, friendly atmosphere. In fact, most children want to stay and play!

I love being able to help my patients, both children and adults, improve their quality of life. My career also allows me the freedom to be active in the Royal Oak community.

I want my patients to enjoy coming in to the Van Every Family Chiropractic Center – more like visiting with good friends rather than going to a doctor’s office.

                      Lara McMahon, D.C.

A native of Chicago, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1994 with a BS in Cell Physiology and a minor in Psychology.  I originally was planning on a veterinary career at Michigan State, but at the age of 22 a chiropractor changed my life and I decided that’s what I wanted to do…change people’s lives!

I then enrolled at Logan Chiropractic College in St Louis and graduated in 2000. I moved to Michigan for an amazing job opportunity with another Doctor, and after one year knew it was time to open my own practice. I did in Commerce, MI, and was there helping the community achieve a better way of life and health for over 11 years.

I was introduced to Dr. Saylor and immediately knew that practicing with her would be an amazing opportunity, and so we joined forces in October and now are able to help even more people then we could on our own.   I am also pursuing a Diplomate in Pediatrics and hope to be finished with mine in the coming year.  Being a member of this elite group of Chiropractors has helped to spread the word on how important it is to have children be adjusted, and it has allowed me to watch my child patients grow up to be amazing, vibrant, healthy adults!

I also am a member of the non-profit humanitarian group ChiroMission (http://www.chiromission.org/) . We are a group of Doctors and volunteers who travel twice a year to Haiti, Dominican Republic and Grenadine Islands to offer our services and relief efforts to those in need. In September 2012 we opened an orphanage we built for 94 children who were homeless, an event two years in the making!

I now live in Milford on a small farm with my two American Saddlebred horses Adelphos and Strawberry Swing which I show, and my cats Raeli, Calvin and Hobbes. I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing practice!
