| I grew up in Eastpointe,
MI, where I attended East
Detroit High School. After
high school I headed to East
Lansing where I attended
Michigan State University.
I graduated in 1991 with
a Bachelor's degree in Zoology,
with a minor in Animal Behavior.
Although I love animals,
I decided to pursue a career
that would allow me to help
people. I enrolled in Parker
Chiropractic College in Dallas,
Texas, and headed south.
I graduated from Parker in
1997. I'm married to a long
time Royal Oak resident,
Brent Wither and had my first
child, Bric Ashley in April
2007. Keep your eye out for
the monthly E-newsletter
for updated pictures of Bric!
Upon my return to Michigan,
I bought a building in
Royal Oak. After a year
of renovation, the building
was ready, and I started
my own Chiropractic practice.
The practice is named "The
Van Every Family Chiropractic
Center", after my
grandmother's maiden name.
I then spent an additional
3 years furthering my education
in Chiropractic Pediatrics
through Palmer Chiropractic
College. I graduated with
my Diplomate in Pediatrics
in 2000. There are currently
only 184 chiropractors
in the world with this
advanced degree. When I
say that I "specialize
in children", you can be assured that I have the ability
to help your children get better quicker. When you visit the Jungle
room at our office, you will see that we take care of a lot of children
in a fun, friendly atmosphere. In fact, most children want to stay and
play!
I love being able to help my patients, both children and adults, improve
their quality of life. My career also allows me the freedom to be active
in the Royal Oak community.
I want my patients to
enjoy coming in to the
Van Every Family Chiropractic
Center - more like visiting
with good friends rather
than going to a doctor's
office.

My name is Dr. Laura
Vanloon and I'm the newest
addition to the Van Every
family. I am a lifelong
resident of Pontiac,
Michigan and graduated
from Pontiac Central
High School. As a younger
adult, I had chronic
back pain that caused
me to seek out chiropractic
care. It was such a positive
force that completely
changed my life, that
it led me to choose to
become a doctor of chiropractic
myself. After completing
my undergraduate studies
at Oakland Community
College and Wayne State
University, I enrolled
in Palmer College of
Chiropractic in Davenport
Iowa. After interning
in Pontiac, MI, the extraordinary
opportunity to join Van
Every Family Chiropractic
Center became available
and I was happily welcomed
in!
In the summer of 2008,
I had the amazing opportunity
to be a part of a chiropractic
mission trip to Santa
Catarina, Brazil. It
was truly a blessing
to offer the benefits
of chiropractic to so
many people that don't
have regular access to
healthcare. That trip
reminded me of the reason
I chose to become a chiropractor,
which was to help as
many people as possible
to achieve their utmost
state of wellness.
Besides my passion
for chiropractic, I
am an avid partner
dancer. Among my favorites
are Salsa, Latin Hustle
and City Ballroom.
While I don't have
children of my own,
I play an active role
in the lives of my
two Godchildren. You
can often find us at
home on the weekends,
playing Uno, Skip-Bo
or Clue, or being entertained
by my two cats, Bear
Boy and Hannah.
I believe every individual
is different, and that
health is a process and
not an event. I practice
chiropractic in a manner
that intends to balance
the body physically,
emotionally and energetically.
I offer gentle and low-force
chiropractic techniques,
including KST, Activator
and BEST, in addition
to the more traditional
chiropractic methods
of Diversified and Thompson-style
adjusting. I am also
a member of the Michigan
Association of Chiropractors
and the Chambers of Commerce
for Royal Oak and Clawson.
I feel so fortunate to
have the opportunity
to treat you and your
family in such a positive
environment. I look forward
to helping you achieve
your best health through
chiropractic!
